Incorporating cashless payment systems for theme parks or waterparks can significantly reduce wait times and increase in-park spending. Whether you are managing a large-scale venue or looking to deploy closed-loop payment systems for tourist attractions, configuring your first cashless transaction in Oveit is straightforward.
This guide will walk you through preparing your hardware and amusement park management software to process seamless NFC event payments.
Prerequisites for Your Cashless POS #
To get started, you will need an Android mobile device equipped with an NFC chip, alongside RFID wristbands for attractions (or NFC cards). You also need an upgraded Oveit account with three distinct sub-accounts set up for your venue:
| Account Type | Purpose |
| Check-in Account | Used at the entrance to check guests in, pair tickets, and activate their RFID wristbands. |
| Top-up Account | Serves as the load station to add or withdraw funds from a guest’s cashless balance. |
| Vendor Account | Operates as your theme park POS system to ring up goods and deduct funds at food stands or retail shops. |
Step 1: Set Up Your Vending Inventory #
First, establish the food, beverage, or merchandise menu that your vendors will sell.
- Navigate to Oveit Pay on the left-hand side of your dashboard.
- Select Products to manage your inventory.
- Choose your specific attraction, then click Vending Oveit.
- To modify an existing item, click the three dots next to the product and press Edit, or click Add a new product.
- Upload an image, input the product name, set the price, and assign it to a category (e.g., Food, Beverages).

Step 2: Activate an RFID Wristband #
Before guests can start their in-park spending, their wristband or card must be activated.
- Log into your Check-in Account on your Android device.
- Tap the Scan and pair button on your screen.
- Tap an unactivated wristband to the back of your device.
- The system will prompt you that “No wallet found,” indicating the wristband is unregistered.
- Select Yes to create a new wallet. The wristband is now active and ready to hold a balance.
Step 3: Top Up the Guest’s Account Balance #
Once the wristband is active, your staff can load credit onto it.
- Log into your Top-up Account.
- Tap the activated wristband to your device’s NFC reader to display the current zero balance.
- Select the option to add credit and enter the top-up amount using the keypad.
- Select the payment method you received from the guest (Cash or Card).
- Press Confirm. A green screen will appear for three seconds, confirming the funds are successfully loaded.
Step 4: Process a Cashless Vending Sale #
Now that the guest has funds, you can test a purchase at one of your venue’s vendor stations.
- Log into your Vendor Account.
- Tap Scan and pair and tap the guest’s wristband to load their profile and your product menu.
- Tap the products the guest wishes to buy. Tapping the + sign increases the quantity of that item.
- Select a tip amount if applicable.
- Press Continue to see a final overview of the order.
- Confirm the NFC event payment by tapping the guest’s wristband to your reader. The total is instantly deducted from their balance.
Step 5: View History and Process Withdrawals #
At the end of the day, guests may visit a kiosk or top-up station to refund their unspent balance.
- Log back into your Top-up Account.
- Tap the wristband to your NFC reader to view a complete transaction history, including initial top-ups, purchases, and the remaining balance.
- To issue a refund, press Withdraw.
- Tap the wristband to the NFC reader one final time to confirm. The balance will return to zero, and the system history will update to reflect the withdrawal.
All transaction history and sales data are securely stored under the Reports section in Oveit Pay, giving you full visibility over your attraction’s financial operations.
