1 | Why offer group deals? #
- Guests rarely visit alone. Families, school outings, and birthday parties are your largest segments.
- Higher basket value. Bundling 5–10 tickets in one checkout lifts average order value (AOV).
- Marketing magnet. “Save 40 % on 10-pack tickets” headlines convert better than single-ticket ads.
Adding group deals to your theme park ticketing system turns casual browsers into committed planners.
2 | Prerequisites #
- An existing ticket type (e.g., General Access – Child).
- Clear pricing goals—how much discount are you comfortable offering at 5- and 10-pass tiers?
- Optional: capacity limits per calendar day (covered in our previous guide).
3 | Set min/max tickets per order #
- Open the ticket you want to extend with group pricing.
- In Ticket configuration, under Group Deals press New Deal and set the number of tickets for this deal (Amount) and the Total Price.
- Example: Amount = 10 tickets, Total price = discounted price. Oveit does the rest to encourage your buyers to see the deal they are getting and how much they are saving
4 | Create group deal tiers #
Tier | Quantity | Total Price (example) | Per-ticket cost | Savings vs. single ticket |
---|---|---|---|---|
Standard | 1 | $50 | $50 | — |
Family 5-Pack | 5 | $200 | $40 | 20 % off |
Mega 10-Pack | 10 | $300 | $30 | 40 % off |
How to configure:
- In the Group deals section, click New deal.
- Enter the Amount (e.g., 5) and the Total price (e.g., $200).
- Repeat for additional tiers—10 tickets at $300, etc.
- Save. Each tier now appears automatically when the buyer hits that quantity in the cart.
5 | Best-practice tips #
- Show the savings. Add “Save 20 %” or “Save $100” in the deal name or description.
- Anchor pricing: A steep 10-pack discount makes the 5-pack feel even more attractive.
- Cap availability on peak days if you risk overselling capacity.
- Promote to schools & corporates via email with a direct link to the 10-pack pre-selected.
- Test & refine. Start with two tiers; adjust prices after 2–3 weeks of sales data.
