At Oveit, ticket payments are designed to be smooth and efficient, but sometimes payment processing issues arise. Here’s how the process works and what to do in case of delays or payment confirmation issues.
How Ticket Payments Work #
- Customer Adds a Ticket to Their Cart
- The system saves the order as “pending.”
- You can see pending orders in the reports section.
- Payment Processing
- The customer is redirected to a payment processor (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Visa, or local processors like Phone Pe or Netopia).
- They enter payment details, and Oveit sends transaction data to the processor.
- Payment Confirmation
- The payment processor confirms the transaction, usually within seconds or minutes.
- The system updates the order as “confirmed” and the customer gets their ticket.
What Can Go Wrong? #
- Delayed Payment Confirmation (Can take up to 24 hours depending on the payment processor.)
- Payment Completed but No Ticket Received (Happens when the confirmation is lost or delayed beyond 24 hours.)
- Possible Fraud or Local Regulations Delays (In rare cases, payment processors take extra time to review transactions.)
What to Do If a Customer Paid But Didn’t Get a Ticket #
If the payment was processed, but the order isn’t confirmed, follow these steps:
- Create a 100% Discount Voucher
- Go to the Vouchers section under Events.
- Click Create Voucher and set it to a 100% discount for the ticket in question.
- Make sure to limit it to one use per customer.
- Copy and Share the Voucher Code
- Copy the generated discount code.
- Go to your payment page, apply the code, and confirm the ticket is now free.
- Click Share Code Link and send it to the customer via email.
- Inform the Customer
- Let them know they can now claim their ticket using the voucher link.
- Send a Separate Invoice (if needed)
- If the customer needs an invoice, generate and send one from an external system.
Final Notes #
- If the voucher code is well set, customers can only redeem the exact number of tickets assigned to them.
- If they attempt to redeem more, the system will block the extra claims.
- Always double-check the voucher settings to prevent unauthorized use.
By following these steps, you can quickly resolve any ticketing payment issues and ensure a seamless experience for your customers.
Happy ticketing!
