How to claim your NFT without us collecting any personal data

Usually, the NFT minting process requires our users to at least input their email addresses to obtain their NFTs. Based on each Oveit account owner, NFTs can be issued by generating unique URLs, where no personal information is collected rather than the buyer’s wallet address which is anonymous.

How does it work?

The Oveit account owner should get in touch with one of our customer success representatives to share the upcoming project and establish the best way to proceed further. If a particular project involves issuing NFTs without collecting any personal data, the account owner simply needs to upgrade the Oveit account to our NFT Ticketing plan. A unique smart contract will be deployed for that particular account and the NFT feature will be available in STEP 2 -> Ticket Categories. By enabling it, they’ll have the option to upload a single artwork/ticket category, or an entire collection/ticket category. The supported formats of the artwork are JPEG; PNG and GIF. Next, simply choose the relevant artwork from your device’s memory and upload it within that ticket category.

How do we make sure that no data is collected?

Well, thanks to our developers, we have a script that is trained to generate an unlimited number of unique URLs where attendees can mint their NFTs by simply following a step-by-step guide that is part of that confirmation page. The only information that needs to be provided is the wallet address, once again, this information is anonymous and there is no way for us to link it with an individual.

Unique URL format:

https://l.oveit.com/orders/thank_you?id=a6a275eb-1d24-4f4e-a042-0bb0c9c7384d&theme=light&language=en

This is what the confirmation page may look like:

How to add pre-recorded content (media) to your channel

From day 1, our goal with Streams.live was to enable content creators to monetize their passions and expertise. As a result, we added the option to upload pre-recorded materials (media), which might be part of a hybrid experience or solely pre-recorded. Based on your active membership, you have the option to upload video and audio files in a matter of seconds.

Please allow us to guide you through the process of uploading pre-recorded content (media) within your channel:

Step 1 → Select the ‘Live Start’ option which is available on the right side of your event’s name.

Step 2 → Select the ‘upload’ icon to open the available pre-recorded media features.

Step 3 → Select the ‘Choose files’ option to upload pre-recorded video or audio files from your personal device.

choose-files1

Step 4 → After you upload your video or audio content, you have the option to choose your own title and description for the uploaded media. Right below the title, you can see the amount of storage used by the uploaded media. In the top right-hand corner, the loading bar displays in percentages the amount of storage used until now. By placing the cursor on that bar, you can see the exact storage amount (e.g.: 89 MB of 8 GB).

Once the media file is uploaded, you can begin to share it with your viewers. Depending on which channel you decide to upload your media, your viewers can access it as long as they have a ticket code. To share your channel, simply copy the available Permalink and paste it on your own marketing mediums (website, social media, newsletter etc.)

What is RTMP and how can it help me stream live content?

RTMP stands for ‘Real time messaging protocol’. It started out as a proprietary protocol developed by Macromedia for streaming audio, video, and data over the Internet, between a Flash player and a server. Back in 2005, Macromedia was purchased by the well-known computer software company, Adobe Inc. The protocol initially designed by Macromedia had many gaps to be filled and after the purchase, Adobe significantly improved its features.

So, what is RTMP exactly?

In simple words, RTMP is a video streaming protocol that makes high quality live streaming possible. In its early stages, RTMP was a proprietary protocol, but now it is an open specification and its features are available to a larger audience. Its main purpose is to deliver high speed transmission of audio, video and data between the server and a specific flash player. With RTMP, users can avoid latency in communication and deliver live content smoothly. Video streams are split in fragments, aggregating them into a single connection. This way, streamed content becomes available across multiple channels, simultaneously. It assures that each channel meets its bandwidth, latency, and other specific quality requirements. Big social media players such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitch are compatible RTMP channels. A live stream can occur at the same time, across any approved channels and even on personal websites.

Computer camera vs RTMP on Streams.live

Before deciding on whether using the computer camera or RTMP for your live stream, you need to answer some critical questions:

  1.       How broad and diverse is your audience?
  2.       Where do you plan to share your streamed content (websites and platforms)?
  3.       What type of streaming setup do you need to use (hardware)?

If you plan to host a live stream for a large and diverse audience, make it available on multiple streaming channels simultaneously and use professional gear to record it , RTMP is what you are looking for. Since it’s not linked to a shared cloud, your live stream will experience minimal delay (latency) and a high-video quality.

rtmpn

When using the computer camera, the information is processed through an additional layer (server). It is processed through a shared cloud and it can result in lower resolution and higher latency. Besides that, if you plan to amaze your audience and create a live event experience with special effects, you will not be able to use your own gear and sophisticated hardware. However, by using the computer camera, users can stream live content straight from their smartphone’s camera.

To wrap up, the RTMP feature is dedicated to advanced users that require higher levels of production. It provides the alternative of using professional gear to record live content for a broad and diverse audience.

How can a modern cashless payment solution benefit a hotel or resort

Long gone are the days where your hotel guests would sign their name and room number on a piece of paper to keep record of what they consumed. Hotel guests expect effortless transactions during their stay, not having to search for cash or credit cards to use the hotel services. With the rapid improvement in terms of payment alternatives, it shouldn’t be necessary for your guests to find a place to store their credit cards or cash while wearing a swimsuit. Instead, hotels and resorts need to embrace this change and act accordingly to retain their guests and transform them into loyal ones.

Adapt hotel payments and amaze your guests

Most hotels and resorts are using key cards with NFC chip integrated for room access. After the check-in process, when rooms are already allocated, the NFC key card takes the role of a traditional key, enabling hotel and resort guests to access their rooms with it.

The NFC key card can take on a lot more responsibilities than just opening a door. It can simply become a friendly and secure payment tool, allowing those guests wearing a swimsuit to enjoy their favorite cocktails in no time. Now, you might think that at the end of the day, a key card is still a card, which still needs a place to be stored while your guests enjoy the crystal-clear water. To avoid overthinking, the NFC chip can be integrated in different wearables, not only inside a plastic card. For a resort where guests spend most of their time at the beach, a silicone wristband with NFC integrated can be a great solution. Being waterproof, your clients can buy their favorite drinks, even from the swimming pool.

p.s.: the silicone wristbands can be fully customized based on your hotel’s brand and design

The process of using NFC payments and access control for a hotel or resort

1. Creating an account and activating the NFC wristband

By linking the cashless payment software with the hotel’s property management service, the NFC bracelet can be activated with your guest’s details stored inside the chip. The information required for booking the room, such as name, e-mail address, telephone number, can be synchronized with the NFC wristband for securely completing cashless transactions within your hotel or resorts premises.

2. Adding money onto the NFC wristband

Depending on your guest’s individual preferences, they might decide to top-up their cashless payment account by visiting the reception or by downloading a mobile app. The receptionist simply asks for the preferred payment method and the exact amount to be added on that account. At the reception, guests can top-up by either cash or credit/debit card. Topping-up through the mobile app allows your guests to add money from anywhere, as long as they have stable internet connection and a valid credit/debit card.

Instead of going through the top-up process, you can allow your guests to pay for the goods and services consumed at the end of their stay, during the check-out stage. The process of paying for goods and services will remain the same, the only difference being that instead of going to a top-up point, guests will have an unlimited amount loaded onto the cashless payment account. This option will most likely increase the overall sales within your hotel or resort. It is up to your hotel’s policy to decide if this would be a preferred option or not.

3. Checking the available balance

The available balance can be verified through the mobile app or by visiting any point of sale within the hotel or resort. After completing a transaction, the remaining balance is clearly displayed for every guest. This way, your guests will always know if it’s time to top-up or if they still have enough credit on their account.

4. Access credentials for hotels and resorts

Within your hotel, there might be a special lounge/bar designed for your loyal guests. To verify who is entitled to use those designated areas designed for your frequent guests, a simple tap of the hand does the job. The receptionist needs to assure that this benefit is linked and stored on the NFC wristband, during the check-in process.

5. Withdrawing the remaining balance

At the end of their stay, some of your guests might still have some remaining balance on their account. It is their right to withdraw it or leave it to be spent on a future trip within your hotel chain. They can either withdraw the remaining balance by visiting the reception or they can do it on their own from the mobile app. At the reception, they have the option to receive the remaining balance in cash or in a bank account if they used a credit/debit card to top-up.

How to improve the user experience within a theme park

Theme parks are a great way to offer recreational experiences for people of all ages. Many consider it a place of escape where the big burdens of everyday are left behind. Being a very competitive environment, theme parks around the world need to focus on delivering unique and tailored services from the very beginning.

Ticketing & Access control for a Theme Park

Most transactions take place in the online environment. In the case of a theme park, the most common online transactions involve the purchase of tickets and merchandise. Usually, clients can choose from ticket categories with pre-defined benefits included. For instance, a standard pass might guarantee entrance inside the park with a limited number of rides included in the ticket price, while the special pass might include everything that’s included in the standard pass plus some additional rides and parking.

What if one of your clients is interested in buying the standard pass with parking included?

The ticket categories mentioned above are not designed to fulfill the need of buying a standard pass with parking included. This might be considered as an impediment for some clients, influencing their purchasing behavior. Instead, a fully customizable ticket option can have a positive impact on the user experience and loyalty. We thought about this inconvenience and we decided to allow our clients to be in charge of customizing their tickets and therefore their experience. The screenshot below gives an idea of how this process would work. The standard pass is mandatory and as previously mentioned, it only includes entrance and access to a limited number of roller coasters. Based on individual preferences, clients can simply add their own optional extras. This way, guests will only pay for what they choose to experience. Paying one price results in guests paying for attractions that won’t be used or experienced. If someone decides to visit a theme park only to spend time with the family, there is no reason for that individual to pay the same amount as the others.

Cashless payments for a theme park

Once at the theme park, customers have their unique electronic tickets ready to be scanned and paired with an NFC/RFID wristband or card. As soon as the pairing process is completed, the NFC chip will have all the relevant information stored in it, meaning that the actual ticket becomes a cool personalized bracelet or card that can be kept as a souvenir.

Besides checking access control rights, the NFC/RFID wristband can also be used as a cashless payment solution. Clients can opt to add credit prior to their arrival and afterwards as well, therefore eliminating the need of paying by using cash or debit/credit card. Maybe one of the clients didn’t add the dining experience as an optional extra when purchasing the ticket. In this case, the wristband can easily become a friendly payment tool. It can be topped up online through a mobile app or by visiting a physical top-up station inside the theme park. This way, transactions can be completed in a matter of seconds, considerably decreasing the waiting time.

Reports that can be used strategically based on purchase behavior within a theme park

Adopting this kind of solution brings many benefits but having access to detailed reports regarding the purchasing behavior throughout the park is one that shouldn’t be ignored.

Customers may be required to provide details such as their name, e-mail address, age and city to complete the ticket purchase. Of course, their consent will be granted before collecting this kind of information. By doing this, theme park managers can approach strategic marketing campaigns, based on demographics. It is of great importance to communicate with your audience and keep them updated with special offers designed to increase the likelihood of having them back in the near future.

Being well informed regarding the peak hour’s arrivals can also be important for a theme park manager. To avoid congestions when demand for rides, activities and facilities fluctuates during the day, optimizing the visitors stream in the park and minimizing waiting times is very important. Theme park planners can get accurate estimates to peak visitor volume from the available reports, therefore delivering a professional service for the guests.

The theme park environment is a very competitive one, where innovation should always be brought to the table. The changing demands of the consumers need to be catered since they always demand innovations and unique experiences. How can a cashless payment solution benefit club parties

The most epic parties are those which are memorable and well organized. Attention to small details can have a considerable impact, especially if you are aiming for future editions or for the overall success of your nightclub. Cashless payment solutions are adopted by more and more festivals and large events nowadays, but nightclubs might want to consider this as a viable solution as well. This innovative alternative has proved to be capable of solving some of the most common organizational issues for festivals and large events, such as: waiting time; security and user-experience. From the perspective of an event organizer or club owner, adopting this kind of technology proved to result in larger revenue streams and positive feedback coming from the attendees.

The actual payment process when using a cashless payment solution for a club

Tap & pay! This is how I would explain Oveit’s cashless payment process in two words. However, this might not be as self-explanatory for you as it is for me.

Instead of paying with cash or a credit/debit card, a wristband or card with an NFC chip integrated will take on these important roles. Once at the bar, your attendees simply order their favorite beverage, tapping their NFC tag to finalize a purchase in a matter of seconds. They won’t have to search their pockets for cash while feeling the pressure from those waiting in line to order as well.

Your clients might decide to top-up credit in advance or during their night out, inside the club. To add credit in advance, attendees should download the Oveit mobile App and create an account.

To be on the safe side, placing physical top-up points inside the venue is recommended. Not all of your clients will have the mobile App downloaded and this needs to be foreseen. At the top-up stations, attendees might be allowed to buy credit with cash and credit/debit card.

Easy & fun menu management for bartenders

In this kind of environment, a drinks menu might change quite often. It is not easy to remember dozens of prices, keeping in mind that drinks can be mixed in so many ways.

To avoid awkward situations, such as asking one of your colleagues how much a drink is or even worst, searching for it by yourself in the menu, a fully customizable menu can solve and avoid situations like this.

When using Oveit, bartenders have the option to fully customize the menu by logging in with their credentials on any Android device. Instead of having a standardized menu, where products are displayed in the exact same order, our platform allows your employees to place the products where they think it’s most relevant and efficient. The main purpose of this feature is for transactions to be completed as fast and secure as possible.

Detailed customer reporting & sales reporting

Data is gold, especially when you want to spread out a message to the right target audience. It becomes a lot easier and effective to achieve that when using Oveit’s cashless payment system. Every single transaction is stored in the cloud, meaning that for the next party hosted by your club, you will know exactly what to focus on in terms of spreading the word out to your most loyal party animals.

Detailed reports emphasizing the top selling products enable you as a club owner to stock up strategically. If you find out that Mojito is a highly demanded drink, running out of key ingredients will be a thing of the past.

The productivity of your employees is available in the reports section as well. By sending out invitations, all your employees are enabled to log in with their chosen credentials. This allows you to track individual performances, rewarding them accordingly. For instance, you can reward your bartenders based on the number of completed sales, motivating them to perform at their best level.

Find out more on how you can transform your venue into a vibrant economy!
