As an event organizer or attraction owner, maintaining consistent branding and professionalism is key. One way to achieve this is by sending tickets and transactional emails directly from your own domain. With Oveit and Mailgun integration, you can seamlessly send emails, including tickets, from a personalized email address like tickets@youreventdomain.com. Here’s a step-by-step guide to setting it up.


Step 1: Access Mailgun Integration in Oveit

  1. Log in to your Oveit account.
  2. Navigate to Apps and select Mailgun Integration.
  3. Here, you will see fields for connecting Mailgun to Oveit. The most crucial item is the API Key, which you’ll retrieve from your Mailgun account.


Step 2: Create a Mailgun Account and Set Up Your Domain

  1. Visit Mailgun.com and create an account.
  2. Set up your domain on Mailgun. This includes configuring MX records (mail exchange servers) to point your domain to Mailgun’s servers. Follow Mailgun’s detailed instructions for domain setup.Note: Setting up MX servers might seem technical, but Mailgun provides straightforward guides to help you through the process.

Step 3: Generate an API Key in Mailgun

  1. Once your domain is set up, log in to your Mailgun account.
  2. Navigate to API Security under your account settings.
  3. Click Create a New Key.
  4. Provide a description and generate the API key.Important: Mailgun will only display the API key once, immediately after creation. Be sure to copy it.

Step 4: Configure Mailgun in Oveit

  1. Go back to the Mailgun Integration section in Oveit.
  2. Paste the copied API key into the designated field.
  3. Fill in the following details:
    • Domain Address: Enter your Mailgun-configured domain (e.g., eventorganizer.com).
    • Region: Choose whether you’re operating in the Global or European Union region.
    • Display Name: Specify the sender’s name, such as “Your Event Name Tickets”.
    • Email Address: Enter the address from which the tickets will be sent (e.g., tickets@eventorganizer.com).

Step 5: Save and Verify

  1. Save your settings in Oveit.
  2. Once saved, all transactional emails, including tickets, will be sent directly from your specified domain.
