We focus on helping you increase in-venue purchases, increase your revenue and improve the visitors’ experiences. Go hybrid (online/offline) with Edge Payments

Ever had internet connectivity issues? We know how problematic that can be. Oveit payments work using a proprietary technology we call Edge Payments. This technology enables our system to work even offline, with data synchronized to the cloud whenever connectivity becomes available again.

Integrate cashless payments with ticketing and access control

One more thing – there’s no need to change anything in your existing processes. If you need it you can use Oveit as an end-to-end solution, including our state-of-the-art event ticketing software. You can even use it to create, mint, and sell NFT tickets for your events. Alternatively – Oveit connects with your favorite registration and ticketing provider, without any complicated integrations.

What are NFC/RFID Cashless Payments and how can they help festivals and venues?

Cashless payments technology on mobile

NFC Technology (NFC stands for Near Field Communication) is a form of wireless connectivity that allows two devices placed within 1.6 inches (4 cm) to communicate to each other. It is the same technology used for contactless credit/debit cards.

The advantage of using Oveit is that the NFC wristband is connected to the attendees’ tickets (or digital wallets – we store data on multiple layers) and allows them to gain easy access to their balance, perks, data, and access credentials. All with just a tap of the hand.

The absolute best part? Oveit allows you to import tickets sold through other ticketing platforms, so you can still use our NFC technology and benefit from all of its features.

People attend your events because you offer them blissful experiences. Go a step further and save them the trouble of carrying separate tickets, cash or tokens.

Bring the team and your cashless payments ecosystem together

Key features for your team and guests

Vendor accounts

Invite vending partners or team mates to your account. They can login and start accepting cashless payments using the mobile app POS. Vendors can view their transactions in real time and edit product menus. You get a birds-eye view of the whole vending ecosystem or check individual vendor accounts. Establish the right partnership for you and your partner vendors by having a clear understanding of their sales. Choose between revenue share, commission and one-time fee. With Oveit Pay you can create amazing business models and understand your venue sales data.

topup stations festivals

Topup stations

Help visitors top up their digital wallets at topup stations or using Oveit's Digital wallet. With Oveit Pay you can onboard a team of cashiers that can accept credit card or cash popups at special vending points. We simplify the needed hardware with our technology. You only need mobile devices (tablet or smartphone) and optionally bluetooth connected external NFC readers and printers to print popup slips.

Cashless payments wallets for festival QR Code

Oveit Wallet (selected partners only)

Using our digital wallet your visitors can connect their credit card and pay using dynamic QR codes, as an alternative to NFC wristbands or cards. Whenever a transaction is being processed, the Oveit POS generates a dynamic QR code that can be scanned by visitors, in order to authorise the transaction. Simple, fast and secure.

NFT tickets addons

Pack extra fun with add ons

Addons are ways for you to preload benefits, products and services for your guests prior to them arriving at your festival or venue. Let's say someone purchases the VIP package that entitles them to unlimited beer, one festival t-shirt, access to the pool, a fancy dinner at a partner restaurant and $100 worth of credits at the festival. You can pack the beer, the festival t-shirt, access to the pool and the diner as add ons. These are unfungible tokens that can be claimed in the venue. Oveit Pay operates with both add ons (unfungible) and digital wallet payments (fungible).

Payments and beyond - creating a better experience for your customers with touchless technologies.

All available with Oveit Pay

Cashless Payments

The NFC card or wristband is either used anonymously or paired with your visitors' data. This data can be name, contact information, access data (where they can go) and addons data (what they can claim). Whenever cards or wristbands are initiated, a digital wallet is initiated as well. The wallet can be used to pay for goods and services by just tapping a vending point's Oveit Pay POS.

Vending points can sell goods and services and collect payments by logging into their account on Android mobile devices, equipped with NFC chips. Vendors edit their menu and when visitors want to buy something they scan the NFC card or wristband and the amount sold is deducted from the visitor's digital balance.

Oveit Pay allows you to get relevant insights in what's being purchased, by who and from where. This way you can build better customer journeys, stock the best selling products and invite in your ecosystem your favourite vending partners.

At the same time you will save your guest the trouble of carrying cash or credit cards. Your event or venue can become cashless, easier to manage and safer for visitors.

Access control

NFC/RFID wristbands and cards are great ways to quickly scan visitors in. From a festival venue to a theme park, all great venues use contactless means to check. access credentials. Oveit Pay can operate as a tool to check access credentials for your visitors. With our software you can set up complex access management credentials according the visitors’ ticket options and you can scan visitors in using either smartphones or NFC readers.

How can I use NFC/RFID wristbands to increase access speed?

Contactless chips are a great way to speed up access to an event or venue and get real time data on visitors flow. As an example you can set up access points at the entrance, at special areas in your event or venue and you can specify who has access and who does not. With Oveit, there's no limit to how you can split and customise the visitor journey.

Personalized interaction

Interactive screens are a great way to engage your visitors and create amazing marketing campaigns and activations for you and your sponsors. Plus - they can be really fun. The question is - can we make it personal? Can we really interact and personalise the marketing message?

Yes. Using our contactless technology you can tap into the data the visitor has already filled in or is available through their journey. The NFC technology transfers the needed info with just a tap, saving your attendees time and helping them concentrate on the fun.

It also allows you to personalise the interaction, based on the info you already have from the user. For example - imagine a screen showcasing an animated character can be the same gender as the visitor and can create a personal story based on the data available from the visitor. These makes your experiences even more memorable.

Multi-day passes

Being connected to your guest's account, the NFC chip lets you know at any given moment which are his access credentials.

A simple tap will show you if access is granted for one or more days (essential information if you hold a multi-day festival) and if access is allowed to a particular area (ex: V.I.P. lounge).

At the end of your event and during the event you can view real time info on where your visitors are spending their time and which are their favorite activities.

Prepacking additional perks

If you use addons for your tickets (like free T-Shirts, water, beers etc) attendees can claim them with a simple tap of the hand.

Using Android smartphones (and later on iOS devices) as NFC readers your team members can see who used the add-ons and who didn't,
every piece of information being immediately updated.

This can help you increase revenue for your events, add multiple layers of fun and engagement and increase visitor loyalty.

Treasure hunts

Treasure hunts are another perfect way to engage the audience. But how can we use NFC technology in this case? Each time a contestant reaches a check point he taps the wristband to the indicated NFC receiver and receives another clue.

You will have real time access to each player's progress and also get info about each participant.

It's a perfect match when treasure hunts are used for brand activation and with NFC technology your sponsors will have access to the much-wanted demographics.

This technology offers access to real time data so you will know at any given moment how many attendees arrived, which areas they prefer and how much they are spending.

The Near Field Communication (NFC) ushered in a new age of technology. This particular innovation, brings an added value to the traditional concept of events, representing the key solution in creating wired experiences.

NFC can be used via smartphones and other enabled badges and devices, with amazing benefits for both event hosts and attendees. Basically, it’s a small chip that allows 2 devices to talk to each other when they’re in close proximity. Read more …

Cashless payments dramatically improve water parks experience

I’m an advocate of using NFC technology for water parks, a technology that can make the experience a better one for attendees. How? By linking the wristband to a customer account and crediting it (so there will be no need to carry cash around or periodically visiting the locker to grab some more).

Also, the wristband can replace the key to the locker, helping attendees concentrate on the only thing that should be important while they are on site: having fun! Read more …

How do you prepare for a cashless event?

Use the right tool, so you don’t have to use 2 of 3 different software products for one event (our friends used Oveit to sell tickets, check in attendees, print badges and set up the cashless payment system). How to use Oveit’s built-in NFC technology for access control?

If you host multiple days events in spaces that have multiple areas/halls you know that sometimes it may be difficult to verify access credential for all of your attendees.
